"Painting is the silent voice l use to bring some kind of beauty to whoever looks inside these visions. l paint with my feelings, with colours that reflect the inner world l inhabit. As a lover of the natural world that surround us, l do try to capture some kind of magical atmosphere within the elements."
Erika is entirely self taught and has been painting for many years in a style which she considers unique. An abstractionist artist. Her paintings represent a longing for beauty in an increasingly harsh and unnaturally modern world, where the emphasis is all too often loud and aggressive. Having no desire to emulate this, she uses elements of nature and architecture as a foundation along with expressions of color to create her own universe. She is currently living and painting in the Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina. A form of creative hibernation in splendid isolation. Bouquet of Dreams: castles and towers, trees, mountains and rainforests, flowers, relics, lost moments in time.. http://www.instagram.com/lancerika

Francisco de Goya
“I have the gift of neither the spoken nor the written word, especially if I have to say something about myself or my work. Whoever wants to know something about me -as an artist, the only notable thing- ought to look carefully at my pictures and try and see in them what I am and what I want to do.”
Gustav Klimt
